Bou-pots

Here comes the…flower pots! I decided about a week ago, that I absolutely love little terracotta pots. I love the simplicity of them with a fresh green plant peeking out. I started thinking of how I could incorporate them into my wedding, and decided on the perfect substitution. The bridesmaid bouquets. Maybe I should call them Bou-pots? So much more “green” to have something that won’t just wilt and die after the wedding! And how cute would they look sitting on tables at the reception! I found a few images of various terracotta pots online to send over to my florist. What kind of a green plant do you think would be good for fall?

Though, the image below is not a terracotta pot, I like the idea of adding a flower or two!

This last photo might look familiar. I found this image while blogging about chalkboard paint & it was my initial inspiration for bou-pots!

aimee - So true! I love that idea :)

Aimee Beutel - Herbs in a terra cotta pot would be a perfect centerpiece for your reception. They are fragrant, simple, and the wedding party can take them home. Rosemary, basil, mint, sage, and thyme are still in season and the variety would be outstanding.
