I love the UPS…

especially when they bring special deliveries like my INVITATIONS! So exciting to actually see them in full life and color. Today, me and Troy have the job of addressing all of them! A big day ahead of us! Also, our invitations are featured on wedding chicks today, pretty exciting, huh?

Troy snapped a few pictures as...

Chalk it up!

Do you remember the excitement of chalk as a kid? Probably one of the cheapest forms of entertainment, but it felt like the world was at your fingertips. I remember using chalk to outline a bike adventure path on our driveway…or to make a grid for hop scotch. But now chalk is coming back in new and exciting...

Maybe I should start asking for a pony

The other day I was feeling pretty down, but as soon as I saw him, all of my problems melted away. It’s the wag of his tail, the way he spins in circles, and how his ears perk up when I see him. George is a day brightener. Troy & I have had the privilege...

Back to the future.

Last week Troy & I went to our friend’s ‘Back to the Future’ prom party. The idea was to party in your best 1950’s attire. Finding an outfit for the event was so fun! I went digging around in my closet & wasn’t sure if I came out from the 50’s, 60’s or 70’s! It...

That tastes good too!

Be prepared…that hardest thing about tasting your wedding food is that everything tastes so good! I am so glad we went hungry! They gave us a feast at Strawberry Farms & it was such a fun experience. Troy, his dad and my aunt were able to join in on the deliciousness too. As we passed...

Fab Fabric

Today I went fabric shopping in LA with Troy and our “fabric extraordinaire,” Cory Jones. We were on the hunt for lace fabric ties for our wedding & fun fabric for arts and crafts! We tried to be bargains but decided we were better off shopping in the 99¢ section. Here are a few pictures...

If I was on Peanuts…

I would be Linus. Ever since I can remember, I have loved soft soft blankets. Actually, I have loved soft blankies. I’m not going to act too grown up, I do call them blankies. There is just something that feels so good & comfy having a blankie around your shoulders or curled up on your...

Today is the first day of autumn, the best season without a doubt! While everything else is turning for fall, I am growing something new. My very first blog! As you can see, I have already started posting this month. So please read on! Comments are always welcome!
Earlier this week I posted some of my latest...

Today I wish…

I could blog in my bathtub. I love taking baths & not just because of the squeaky clean feeling you get but the overall experience. Music, candles, fun soaps & scrubs, a break from the world.  If only I could waterproof my Mac. I found some lovable tubs today & am all abut the 1940’s lady in the...

Invites / It’s official!

My sister finished my invites yesterday! I am so excited. The wedding definitely feels more real. I can’t wait to see them in person. We’re planning on mailing them out when we go home to Seattle next week. Check out my sister, Promise’s full post!

Second Hand Smiles

Another reason to love Redlands. Thrift Stores. By far one of the best is the Redlands Thrift Store (formerly A&E hardware). A huge warehouse with a separate section dedicated to furniture. If you love browsing around and hunting for that special find, this is the place! Most of the items found here have a worn, homespun feel....

This week Troy & I have gotten so much wedding planning done! It is very exciting! We had our tasting at Strawberry Farms where we grazed on some amazing food. Let me tell you, so good. We also had a few errand days while his dad was in town to tie up some loose ends....
